Le Rouret : Provencal by nature.

At the beginning of the last century, Le Rouret was home to some 600 souls. It was encircled by tracts of arable land where jasmine, rose, and olive trees were grown, but the people also harvested grapes from Le Haut Collet; they made hay and gathered figs to be dried. They worked hard: not a single plot of land was left unplanted, and harvests were abundant.

The Provencal village of Le Rouret is set between the cities of Cannes and Nice, ten kilometers from Grasse and the boundaries of Sophia Antipolis.

In the village center, buildings of typical Provencal character stand proudly beside City Hall and the Saint Pons parish church, all composing a cheerful, authentic, small-town ambiance.

Should you take the time to wander about the village, you will come upon magnificent olive groves, ancient washhouses and, tucked away at the foot of the nearby hills, streams of such charm that you will surely decide to linger beside them to contemplate the day.

Further up the hillsides, the remarkable natural setting of the Bois Communal (city forest) offers a place for longer walks. At the top of these woods, where you can enjoy lovely views of the surroundings, lies an archaeological site with a dazzling perspective over the Mediterranean Sea and the region’s alpine foothills.

For the many festivals held here in each season, the village and giant plane trees on its main square adopt joyous attire, wrapping you in a warm, friendly ambiance, especially for the terroir and black truffle celebrations.

Throughout the year, shops, services, a theater, charitable organizations, sports facilities, restaurants, guest houses, and inns are at your disposal, providing countless opportunities for outings and activities.

Le Rouret, a harmonious and peaceful Provencal village, takes pleasure in welcoming visitors, as is clear in the hospitable nature of its inhabitants, all of whom proudly embrace the village’s emblem, the oak, and the motto semper robur (always strong).
